Brendan Herron
Strategic Advisor
Brendan Herron is a Strategic Advisor of HASI. His expertise includes structuring climate investments, sustainable infrastructure markets, carbon accounting, carbon credits, resiliency, government policy, and addressing environmental justice.
With nearly two decades of experience focused on climate solutions, Mr. Herron developed the concept for Hannon Armstrong Sustainable Infrastructure Capital, Inc., which has invested over $14 billion across sustainable infrastructure markets since 2013.
Mr. Herron is the Lead Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman of Shimmick Corporation (Nasdaq: SHIM), a leading water infrastructure company. He also serves on the boards of various private and nonprofit organizations, including as a board observer for REsurety, Inc., the Advisory Board of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, and the Board of Directors of Fair Chance, a Washington, DC-based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening local nonprofits that serve children and their families.
Mr. Herron received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola University Maryland.
