Charles W. Melko, CPA

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Charles “Chuck” W. Melko is Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of HASI. He is responsible for all financial functions, including treasury, capital markets, investor relations, and accounting. Mr. Melko was previously Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer beginning in 2017 and incrementally became Treasurer in 2021. During his tenure, Mr. Melko has overseen substantial growth in the complexity of the company’s financial reporting and has successfully overseen numerous bank debt and capital markets transactions.

Prior to joining HASI in 2016, he was a senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, focused primarily on serving clients in the energy industry. Mr. Melko received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy, a Master of Business Administration degree, and a Master of Science degree in Accountancy from Wheeling Jesuit University. He holds a CPA license in West Virginia and Maryland and is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).
